A «total» conviction, but that turns into doubt when he is asked about the risks and the pillars on which this popular uprising will be founded. «It is a mystery, I cannot talk about revolution because it is about freedom released in people and revolutionary processes are impossible to prevent because they have their own laws and they are not known».
For Ziegler, the re-foundation of this organization involves making it «much more democratic» by eliminating the veto power of the member nations of the Security Council, cleansing it of «coup plotters» and eliminating the perks of the IMF and the WB. Criminal neo-liberalism, concludes the diplomat, must end now.

Iván gil, author of the book ‘pablo iglesias, urgent political biography’.

Iván Gil, a journalist for El Confidencial, was assaulted last night by a member of the UIP (Police Intervention Units) while he was taking photographs for this newspaper during the general strike demonstration. The incident took place at around 9:15 p.m. in Madrid’s Atocha street. «I was with a group of photographers from different media when there began to be charges in Neptuno, next to the Congress. Then someone started shouting that there was a car on fire. We ran to Atocha street, near the entrance to the Reina Sofia museum, where there were two containers on fire. I had lagged a little behind because I was checking that the photographs had turned out well. Then a van came speeding up and pulled up beside me. Barely two meters away was a policeman with a rubber-bullet shotgun, climbing into the van. I held up my journalist’s ID, which I had around my neck just in case, and at that moment, he pointed and shot me. I fell to the ground and started screaming in pain».

The «urgent biography» of Pablo Iglesias, the book by David Ortega, the economic programs of Ciudadanos and Podemos, the struggle of Coca-Cola workers and immigration were the focus of the XXVI Tertulia Ciudadana ‘Cambia Madrid’.
In the Tertulia en Llamas, moderated by Ricard Arís, intervened: Sira Rego (Councilor of Environment for IU in Rivas Vaciamadrid); Pedro Moreno (from the Popular Party of Alcorcón); Carlos Tobías (Lawyer); and Kike Castelló (Writer, blogger, producer, scriptwriter, director and candidate for councilor for Ganemos Pinto).
The Tertulia en Llamas debated on the economic programs of Ciudadanos and Podemos, and on employment and emigration. Interesting were the face to face debates between Tobías and Castelló, and between Moreno and Rego in an agile and dynamic debate.
In the section ‘One minute please, the journalist and reporter Adrián Argudo denounced the precariousness of the new jobs and congratulated the struggle of Coca-Cola workers, now recognized in the Supreme Court (which forces the multinational to reinstate them, after a similar ruling in the National Court).

A dynamic that he describes as «perverse», not so much social but of the political agents themselves. Thus, he explains that «Sanchez sees that this is his opportunity to consolidate his leadership, which he had it on pins; Casado feels anxious to take advantage of the situation with a turnaround in the Government and Abascal, who lives on anger and the feeling of frustration,» would also be looking for his profit. The political agents would therefore have a lot to say when it comes to capitalize or even lead the social protest, which would be aggravated because «in the memory of this country there is the idea that both the arrival of the PSOE to power and the exit had to do with traumatic situations. Even the right now interprets that the investiture was a kind of dark maneuver and there is the idea that nothing can be changed here by ordinary means, they trust that nature will lend a hand».
The philosopher and director of the Juan March Foundation, Javier Gomá, believes that there are signs that the discontent, paradoxically, will work in favor of the system and will bring about a certain return to bipartisanship.  If the previous economic crisis «produced the Podemos anti-system movement» and the Catalan crisis and its unilateral declaration of independence «produced the Vox anti-system movement», for the author of the ‘Tetralogía de la ejemplaridad’ there could now be «a nostalgia for a strong authority, institutional, with experience, capable of managing the system», institutional, with experience, capable of managing health, the army, social security, the welfare state as a whole with the variety of its resources, and this is embodied in the two parties of the historical alternation in power, leaving aside for a while the radical or experimental parties».
