Casa del Libro has reopened its doors at Gran Vía 29, after a comprehensive renovation to bring it closer to the new demands of consumers.    With 4,000 m2 of floor space divided into 4 floors, the new flagship store offers customers additional services, such as reading areas or spaces for cultural activities.
The store also aims to become an experiential bookstore thanks to the Comic, Juvenile and Graphic Novel areas that will immerse young customers in the exciting world of reading. These areas, together with the Children’s area, will become the strategic zones of the refurbished bookstore.

Casa del Libro sources have indicated that the works are not related to the construction of the CR7 hotel due to the alliance between the Pestana group and Real Madrid’s Portuguese soccer player Cristina Ronaldo.
However, the same sources have not been able to specify how long the headquarters of the Casa del Libro in Gran Via may be closed, and have assured that it is a project that they had been «time» thinking about developing, which will consist of the closure of the third floor and the expansion of the second to maintain the space.
And Pestana confirmed that it will open a CR7-branded hotel in the building on Madrid’s Gran Vía where Casa del Libro is located, although the bookstore will remain on the first floor. As a «temporary farewell», Casa del Libro has organized a series of meetings with several writers who will sign copies of their works this Wednesday and Thursday, such as Silvia Quirós -Wednesday at 17:30-, Blue Jeans or Lorenzo Silva -Thursday at 19:30-.
They have also announced a poetry meeting starring Carlos Salem, Victoria Ash and Luis García Piedehierro, on Thursday at 19.00 on the third floor of the building, which will be closed after the reforms.
