Teresa Berengueras is one of the most prominent names in the history of journalism of the heart. Popularly known as Terebere, throughout her extensive career, she wrote for the main ‘pink’ headers of the country and collaborated in the radios and televisions with more audience.
Among her works there was one that catapulted her to fame, like so many other well-known collaborators. It is the program Tómbola, of which Teresa was part with regular appearances, sharing the set with other figures of the scene as Lydia Lozano (59), Karmele Marchante (73) or Paloma Barrientos.
That interview angered some of the collaborators of Sálvame, especially Belén Esteban (46), who reproached him on air for his attitude: «I find it outrageous that you say that 1,100 euros is not enough to live on». However, Terebere’s story moved the program’s management to the point where she was offered a position on Sálvame Diario.
Disenchanted with the world of television, Terebere explored new professional horizons: «I have exchanged the sets for this office to write a book,» she confessed from a room in her new home. However, five years later, her plans have not come to fruition and her debut novel has yet to see the light of day.
